Oh little L… he woke up an hour early from his nap, he was not having a good day. He hit, he screamed, he cried and he flailed. He did not want to meet me, my big black box and “smile”. I could see the stress in his parents’ eyes when they wanted to bag it before we even got started. I looked at them, smiled and said “trust me it will be great”. After a throwing rocks into the river, quoting Toy Story and a little 2 year old bathroom humor, L was awesome. 
So if you think the universe is conspiring against your family photography session just remember to take a breath, relax and trust me.
Big sister B is incredibly sweet, she required no warm up and wanted nothing more than to please me. At the end of the night as we were playing in the leaves she turns and says to me “Aren’t you so happy I brought you to this beautiful place? It is so beautiful!” Bozeman in the fall is indeed beautiful, thank you B for reminding me how awesome it is to see life through a child’s eyes.
