Glacier Park Part 5 • rain rain and more rain

The FINAL part of our summer vacation!  Can I get a hallelujah?!  Sit back, relax (just don’t fall asleep) and enjoy.097ablog

For the last two days of our trip it rained, and rained.  Not really images of a “summer” vacation, but we made the best of it!  Aunt Christy showed Aiden how to use her phone.  He chatted with his friends, texted his peeps and was even shocked by a few of the responses.

Darcie was a good example.  It was almost like Jeff was on the trip with us 😉

Yep he was still playing with the wrench 5 days later.

We headed up for a hike up to St. Mary Falls.  Gorgeous.  We were informed that the falls farther up the trail made this falls look boring.  So we hiked on.

This is the last picture with my camera.  It was raining WAY too hard for it to leave the safety of the bag and Ryan’s rain jacket.

Virgina Falls.  I bet it is beautiful, but with so much water flowing in your face from the rain and the waterfall we couldn’t see anything.  I was able to find a photo, I wouldn’t mind doing this hike again on a nice day.  Notice how soaked we were!

On our way back to the car a girl ran (yes ran, trail running in the cold rain) past us and looked at me and said “You should get mom of the year”.  I laughed.  Should I get mom of the year because I schlepped my kid up and down the mountain (again lots of offers to carry him 😉 the last 15 minutes of the hike) or because I had my baby out in a torrential down pour?

The END!

Looks like a fun trip Kelly! Glacier is so great! Sorry about the rain, but it looks like that didn’t slow you guys down! I love Aiden’s little jacket and his awesome shoes. Kids clothes are the best. What a cutie!

Great photos Kelly! My jaw dropped at the waterfalls! I think the one of Aiden sitting on the Glacier sign with Ryan is sweet…
