While photographing Ty’s newborn session his mom asked if she could take photos of all the action. Of course! I was excited to see everything from Mom’s perspective. Thanks to an April snowstorm we had to get very creative to find the best lighting which meant moving the couch and end tables. Thankfully my clients are always understanding and know everything will get put back when we’re done, and mom NEVER has to help move furniture!

This next behind the scenes shot is what I spend about 2/3rds of my time doing at a newborn session 🙂 In my opinion newborn photography is about your ability to handle the baby first and your photography skills second.
